Roman Blinds - Beginners

This course teaches you everything you need to know in order to make your own Roman blinds. 

The course costs £240 and is spread across three sessions.

Session 1:  A 3-hour session to go over measuring and calculating for your blind.

In this session we will look at the exact dimensions of the blind you are going to make and practise calculating rod pocket intervals.  

Sessions 2 and 3:  These will be two shortish days (09.30 - 15.30) during which you will make your blind.  These sessions will be booked in to suit you and the other students on your course (max 3 students so there is lots of one-to-one attention.

How to accurately measure your window and what to take into consideration when choosing to fit your blind inside or outside the window recess.

How to choose fabric suitable for making Roman blinds.

How to calculate the rod pockets in your blind.

All hand stitches to create a professionally finished blind.

How to pattern match for making wider blinds.

Blind headrails explained.

Make a sample blind or a real blind during the course (if your blind needs to me less than 1m wide you can make this during the course).
